AIDA PetChem has completed a revalidated feasibility study with S&P Global for the Mediterranean PetChem Complex at New Alamein. The study confirms the design basis for a polyolefin focused crude-to-chemicals (C2C) complex with zero fuels produced, built on world-class process technologies from leading international licensors.
S&P Global's work covered the market outlook, the configuration and the project economics, and confirms a durable cost advantage over European naphtha-based production serving the import dependent polymer markets of Europe and Turkey.
