AIDA PetChem has launched its Digitalisation and AI Program for the Mediterranean PetChem Complex at New Alamein. The program sets the digital architecture, data standards and AI roadmap for the complex across engineering, construction and operations.

The program establishes common data standards for licensors, the EPC consortium and equipment vendors, and an integrated control, safety and operations architecture on which the complex's digital twin, advanced process control and asset performance will run from start-up. The AI roadmap covers real-time process optimisation, predictive maintenance and energy and emissions management, drawing on world class technologies from leading industrial software providers and selected on the basis of demonstrated value in operating plants.
